8月9日から12日の日程で、カザフスタン、ウズベキスタン、モンゴルへの歴訪を予定していた岸田総理は、「長崎原爆犠牲者慰霊平和祈念式典」への出席後に記者会見に臨んだ。
会見で「３カ国への歴訪を中止する」ことを正式に明らかにした。
南海トラフ地震の「巨大地震注意」が出されたことを受け、官邸に戻り、日本国内の災害対応にあたることにしている。

Prime Minister Kishida, who was scheduled to visit Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and Mongolia from August 9th to 12th, held a press conference after attending the “Peace Memorial Ceremony to Memorialize the Victims of the Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Victims.”
At the press conference, he officially announced that he would be “cancelling historical visits to the three countries.”
In response to the announcement of a “major earthquake warning” for the Nankai Trough earthquake, he will return to the Prime Minister’s Office and take charge of disaster response within Japan.
